What is Giclée?

​

Giclée prints are widely accepted in the world’s finest museums and galleries as a true fine art medium.  The word Giclée (Jee-clay) is French for “to spray or to squirt”.  The process uses incredibly accurate computer-controlled jets which apply Epson Ultra Chrome ink onto archival paper or canvas.

The canvas is then hand stretched and stapled over a custom-made wooden frame.  Thickness can range  from 1 ½” to 2 ½” thick with black or white wrap around canvas covering the edges. Giclée’s have a higher apparent resolution than lithographs and their dynamic color range is fantastic.  Prints are custom signed by the artist and come with a certificate of authenticity.  Prices vary….
